After the generous donation of sample boards to our team am proud to release a work in progress Lakka image for this beautiful beast!

Known issues
  • As the system currently only works in 64bit mode (32bit libmali crashes), some cores (N64, NDS) have their performance hindered due to the lack of ARM64 dynarecs. This will hopefully addressed in the future as more cores are ported to ARM64.
  • On the other hand, some cores like PPSSPP or Dolphin work better in 64bit mode.
  • The ethernet MAC address is currently random at each boot - this causes the IP address to be different too each time the board is rebooted.
    • While it should, the MAC address is not passed from u-boot (for network boot) to Linux, this causes the board to have one IP address when u-boot runs then another when Linux runs
  • The HDMI display resolution is wrong when booting the board. A workaround for this is unplugging and plugging back the HDMI cord once booted.
New image is out with aarch32 mali userspace driver.

Thanks Ntemis. Stickied.
Mrfixit2001 together with RK staff have already confirmed that the 32bit libs are broken and requested a fix.
Thanks!

Quick note, you can force desired resolution in extlinux; e.g.: video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080@60
I will definitely try this tonight.
This might also explain my earlier tests trying to get Retropie working on my Rockpro64. Things did work on the aarch64 linux image, but when I went to try the 32 bit image to try and get N64 emulation working, nothing I tried would get Retroarch or emulationstation to work.
How is Dolphin performance? My board refuses to connect to the internet, so cannot get it to download. PPSSPP is pretty solid.
I have the same issue with my ethernet not really working as with the LibreElec image. It must be some driver issue since it works on the ayufan images. And unlike with the LibreElec image my USB wifi dongle won't work either.

Other than that it works, N64 emulation seemed slow as expected. PS1 ran ok.
Good news everyone Smile
Next Lakka image will come as an aarch32 one Wink

Yep! Just testing 32bit Recalbox now Smile Will you bump the frequency to 2.0 and 1.5 ?
OP is updated with aarch32 image link

Did you get the resolution issues resolved ?
Also, is anyone else having ethernet problems with this image and Libreelec? Something is definitely wrong somewhere. I checked with wireshark and I just get a bunch of TCP retransmission errors and then everything grinds to a halt. Ethernet works fine on the ayufan images.
