My issue was due to the USB connector on the adapter. I added a bit of solder to the contacts and now it works fine in all my computers.

Dual, triple, whatever boot. Just look up extlinux. The debian image for rock64 by ayufan uses extlinux which is a grub replacement boot system. You can boot as many images as you like.
How about fixing the eMMC? It has a volume on it that I cannot seem to get rid of no matter how hard I try (see the following post)

Seriously - I have tried everything I could find on Google and every other search engine to no avail. Is this chip totally bjorked? I literally am afraid to plug the other one in for fear I will brick it, too.
wow,cool! But l wonder which is better, eMMC or SSD?

In general, eMMC is better.
