I plan to create a phone with the Pine64 is there anyway I can support a sim card in this build as i really want to give this the full capability of a phone and more features if anybody can give me a idea on how to that will be a great help thanks Smile
it would be very difficult to make a traditional cellphone type of phone with the pine64, you would have to integrate all the necessary hardware and supporting software. i'd suggest using one of the android images that supports hangouts[if any do, i'm not sure if in fact hangouts does work] and use a google number to do pretty much near what you want if that would be phone like communication via the pine64
You could use a cellular module and create a UI for it with your Pine, like https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13120 for example...

yes. or particle.io has the electron. but the electron probably won't do calls on their network. but either would lack the integration needed to have a "phone" , if the OP does want a traditional type cellphone concept. perhaps search   hackster.io   for some ideas.

Hangouts is supported on the Android images, we're using it now and it works well.
