Yes, would be an option - Better than nothing I guess - Thank you!
(Used signal-cli just on my Linux-Desktop-PC to activate the Client on the PinePhone, so I guess I will have to get it on the PinePhone as well...)
Did you try to receive the pictures on your Desktop PC? Did that work? If it doesn't work either the problem is something else, not Signal on your PinePhone.

Yes, in the Signal-Desktop-App on my Linux-Desktop-PC (Kubuntu) it works, I see sent images there. Hmmm...

Because it seems not to be a general problem according to Pelecanus - Does your "Signal-Desktop-App on PinePhone" show images someone sent you?
i use x86-64 laptop (with debian/linux) for both signal-cli and signal-desktop-app. both work fine. getAttachment also works, and files are stored locally, assuming command receive has been done.
maybe i test signal-desktop-app in a pinephone, but not immediately.
edit: adding debian/linux laptop
edit: typo

Ah, my fault sorry, I got you wrong somehow then.
problem: I also can't sent pictures on my PinePhone (takes forever, nothing happens). Really strange. On PC all is still good, recieving, sending... It's like some other package/framework/... used by Signal is missing on my PinePhone/Mobian, but I don't know what it is.

Ah, thank you very much for the infos!
At least I can stop searching for a problem at my specific install/system now.
Hopefully there will be a solution.

it seems that you use desktop app? do you use arm64 or x86-64 version?
i use x86_64 version and desktop app with 6.28.0 version and attachments and images work fine.
