Back in the day, when you had a computer with slow CPU, minimum RAM or small hard drive, people made "tiny" or frugal Linux distros
that gave you a full-ish Linux but left out bloated software like KDE that ran slowly.

Is there such a frugal or tiny Linux distro for the Pinephone or Pinephone Pro that strips away resource-hogging software that
slows things down unnecessarily?
You should try PostmarketOS with SXMO

My phone currently reports 170Mo memory use under htop (500Mo with firefox browsing mastodon). For me it's light enough but you might want more, maybe there are projects based on buildroot or yocto ? But I don't know how functional they are ...

If anything, I want less. I began using Linux when CPUs were running at 75MHz, so I'm acutely aware
of the impact of sloppily written, bloated software. Back then, worsely designed software would have
a big impact on speed and memory usage. These days not so much. We are perhaps spoiled by the 1+ GHz CPUs,
which are mandatory to run a web browser. And yet, I have seen YT videos in which people complain
about the Pinephone's slowness, despite its CPU running at a high speed.
