Hi,
I've got my pine64 with 2G RAM , together with lcd. I can boot successfully with android img for lcd version, and it worked well. But it failed with Ubuntu img. The lcd doesn't light up. So I 'd like to know if the Ubuntu img support the lcd or if somebody would add the lcd driver?

The LCD currently only support on Android build. I have shipped one LCD panel to longsleep, he will take a look but not promise on result.

Any results from longsleep?

Probably not. Simon isn't that interested in graphics support, so unless it was a straightforward drop-in fix, wouldn't have been able to justify putting much time into it. However, someone has recently posted that they have gotten the screen working on debian linux (and should be applicable to ubuntu as well), but touch is not supported yet.

has anyone tried the TFP401 to get the touchscreen to work with ubuntu?

https://www.modmypi.com/beagle-board/bre...with-touch

looks like it can drive the lcd off of the hdmi port and bring touch events back via USB.
not a pretty solution, but maybe a quick way to get some progress?

what i am uncertain about is the DSI cable being a match.
