I just got my new PineTab.

I'd like to get gcc running from the shell.

pacman does not seem to be available.

any hints appreciated on how to more ahead.

Which OS are you running? Pacman will only be on Arch and derivatives. Mobian uses apt and postmarketOS uses apk. UBPorts is a bit different, and probably not what you want if you're trying to run gcc from shell.
