There is some weird battery issue with this pinecone. Battery level dropped from 88% to 26% in 5 minutes. Feeling the battery temperature with the left hand with the cover off and navigating apps on the phone ( reproduced both with Ubuntu touch and Postmarket OS ) I am feeling the battery getting very hot then dropping back to room temperature as I am navigating apps on the phone. When the battery gets hot, the battery indicator level is visually decrementing percentages as I am looking at the display.

Any other users experiencing this issue?
What model do you have? Braveheart, UBports or postmarketOS Community Edition?

The battery indicator, especially on Ubuntu Touch, is inaccurate. Regardless, the heat described is abnormal.

A couple of things to try:
If the heat issue persists, report back and consider contacting Support.

Hello. The phone is the UBPorts edition.
The same here with a PostmarketOS version.
Has you solved the problem?
Many thanks in advance.
T.
I have received the Postmarket OS convergence edition 2 weeks ago, and the same battery issue as described occurs,
the phone does not hold on the battery and discharge pretty quickly when using the phone
(meaning when the phone is not plugged to the charger).
Is the heat issue also manifesting, or just poor battery performance?

If you are experiencing a heat issue like the OP, I'd recommend contacting Support. Otherwise, know that the PinePhone's battery life is short compared to other smartphones.
