Hi,
Today I tried Android on my Pine. I think it is the best solution now but... how can I shutdown the system?

I received the power button and I have inserted it in the "power" location but when I push it nothing happens.

Are there instruction for installing that button? Or, how power off android without it?

thank in advance
I haven't buttons. but there is software for it: Reboot Manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...ager&hl=ru

Works great!

Did you solder it to the board?...
:
I have no root (I use the Phoenix version). Can I use that application without root?

:
No, no welding. Only inserted.

Soldering (welding) will provide a reliable connection. If the switch is only inserted, the contact made may not be consistent.

Also, you must hold down the button for a second or two in order to bring up the power off menu.
I'm using an app too.

In Phoenix version? Can you tell me the app name?

About welding:
I'll try in that mode too
I think I'll try the app-shutdown for the pine. Currently I'm using the button and it works ok, but not able to turn it back on. If i just turn off the screen (short press on the power button) the pine shuts down and stops feeding signals through the hdmi. Any sollution for this?

The 'short press screen shut off but not turn back on with another short press' issue will hopefully be resolved in a future update, it has been brought to the Pine64 team's attention, thanks to another similar thread.

But like I said a few messages ago, if you hold the power button down, this should bring up a shutdown menu which you can then use to power off the Pine properly.
I'm not very experienced with soldering but I have successfully soldered a few parts in various projects.
A video tutorial on how to solder the power button would be useful for many of us I reckon.
