fYI: Tried on PhoenixCard_V310_20130618 with above android image file and it says script file not found.try on latest version.
You need to use the Phoenixcard SD creator to burn the image phoenix image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0cEs0l...U1NFk/view

Or you can use win32imager on windows to burn the newest DD image.

I think that the phoenix method will be easier for you as a beginner (who I am guessing you are)

First get the latest phoenix android image of the wiki.
[edit ] I will make it easy for you and just paste the link here Wink http://files.pine64.org/os/android/andro...ixCard.zip

Unzip the image. Then download the Phoenix SD creator (link above). Run the creator, chose the image, point it to where your SD card is (drive) - make sure its set to the correct drive -  set 'Startup!', format to normal, and burn.
Thank you for detailed information.
Finally, it worked after changing to external reader.

Hmmm... could you explain a bit more ?

What reader didn't work/ what reader did work?

Some work, others don't. Very well known issue N° 2, 2nd sentence: http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=514

And now imagine what would happen if Pine64 people would prefix every download link for OS images with "Hey folks! Before you waste hours of your live trying to burn OS images simply do the first necessary step: Choose either H2testw or f3 and check your setup first" (setup means: SD card + card reader used). It's all known since ages. Pine64 is not different and in this early stage not even involved at all! Why not documenting what's already known?!

If we would add the many hours unfortunate Pine64 backers already wasted just because the Pine64 people refuse to improve documentation: Maybe already thousands if not more...

Tell me about it. My macbook card reader and in-built PC reader don't work. My old cheap USB - SD reader works fine ... magic....

I have almost the exact same problem.  Have you found a solution?

The only difference is that I am trying to load to a Samsung 32GB micro SD card.  Phoenix gives me the "script file not found" message.

Help?

I think this may be because you are trying to burn an image meant for the dd command or Win32DiskImager with PhoenixCard.
