Keyboard not popping up on QT apps - 3x5co - 02-08-2024

My Pinephone broke and I switched to Droidian, but I don't think this is a Droidian-specific question. Forgive me if it turns out to be irrelevant.

Anyway, my on-screen keyboard works fine on most apps, but I installed both Nextcloud client and Chromium browser, and in both cases, focusing on a text field doesn't cause the keyboard to deploy. The common denominator here is that both of these apps use QT and not GTK, and I assume this is relevant.

Has any one had this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it?

No, Chromium does not use Qt. The Nextcloud client does.

I assume you use Phosh? You should be able to force the keyboard to pop up manually, see https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=19045.
