mobile data - jimbusch1 - 02-23-2022

I'm on US mobile and had data and mms working but a couple of upates and upgrades later no data connection. Still have phone and sms capabiltiy but no data. I have tried mulitple apns no luck. I flashed Biktorgj's firmware and recovery several times and different versions no luck. Phone shows 4G connection but no data. Wifi and bluetooth work fine. I'm running 2/20/22 weekly no help so went back to unstable still no help.

Curious, did you swap in an activated sim card, or activate the sim card in your pine phone.?

I'm seeing similar symptoms.

Specifically, my problem seems to be DNS.

If I run a command:

Code:
curl http://pine64.org

I get an error:

Code:
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: pine64.org

But if I try to reach the IP of pine64.org directly:

Code:
curl http://91.219.133.83

I get a little success message.

This impacts my ability to use the internet, get/send MMS, etc. Wifi still works (though not for MMS).

Sounds like this bug that's hit Mobian and maybe others. You can downgrade networkmanager or try one of the workarounds listed.

I activated the sim with my pinephone last year when I got it. I had everything working until sometime around the end of Jan or the beginning of Feb.

Thanks, this was the issue. For me the resolvconf solution did not help, but the networkmanager downgrade did.
