Hi all,
This is not a really serious issue, not sure if something can be done in future revisions or not, so this is just in case.
When doing some tests with the maximal WiFi bandwidth (iperf, wget, aria2c etc), on a 40 MHz access point, it's about 100 Mbps if bluetooth firmware is not noaded (to find a way to disable bluetooth chip while keeping WiFi enabled, I removed the rtl8723cs_xx*.bin from initrd.img)
However, if the bluetooth chip is working (firmware loaded), even if set to "disabled", the Wifi bandwidth is capped to 50 Mbps (even when changing WiFi access point frequency from 1 to 13)
As bluetooth and WiFi are both operating at the same frequency range, this is not completely surprising, however I already used devices on which the difference isn't as much.
And... I guess that's all I have to tell about this
didn't played a lot with the 4G modem, I have a spot in the forests where 1 out of 3 panels of the operator's antenna is directed to nowhere in the forest : this is the best 4G bandwidth testing point ever. I'll probably check it out soon with the pinephone Keep up the great work!
PS : Using "UBports Community Edition" model, which is supposed to be 1.2
