Hey guys,

I'm really new to the whole PineTime concept and I'm trying to get a heartrate reading which needs to be sent to a PC. I can figure out the Bluetooth connection but I don't have a starting point to get any values from the watch to a PC. Can anyone give me a hand or can lead me to a tutorial which can give me a first step in the right direction? The tutorials I've found so far are involving an old Github which won't work anymore.

Big thanks!

I have a PineTime and want to set up more than one Alarm. I need a daily alarm to wake up but I need another one at the evening as a remeinder. Is there an option to set multiple alarms, maybe I am just blind and do not see in the menu?

If not I would try to change the menu to make more alarms possible and maybe also a "snooze" function for the alarm? I was looking at the development page and it looks quite complicated but I will try to read more about it.
In general it is a bautiful watch that covers everything I need, and it is light an tiny compared to my G-Shok with vibration Alarm
I am struggling to connect to PineTime with NRFConnect / Gadgetbridge on both iphone and android phone -- none of the phones can detect the watch.
I have just received it and charged. There is no bluetooth icon on the watch face.
I cannot find any documentation saying how to turn on bluetooth on the watch (or is it permanently tuned on?)
All docs/tutorials say -- scan and connect but it does not seem discoverable and I could not find any troubleshooting guide.
The watch is running firmwave version 1.6.0 (f41aaad6).

Hey all! Many people want to try both Infinitime and Wasp-os. They hear about the reloader, but then find out that the reloader-factory.zip in Wasp-os 0.4 is broken, and building your own usually fails. There is some information about that, but not everyone can find it. That's the goal of this forum post.

The short version: don't use reloader-factory.zip, use the zip from here instead.

This does not contain full InfiniTime, only the recovery. This arrangement is necessary due to the size, but also allows you to flash any future release of InfiniTime without having to find a new reloader zip. After flashing this reloader zip and letting the reloader finish, hold the button until the pinecone turns red to reboot into recovery, then flash the latest InfiniTime.

The long version with step-by-step instructions and pictures for switching in both directions is on the wiki: https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/Switching_y...nd_Wasp-os

Here's a newbie asking for help.

My PineTime is on v. 0.9.0. I wanted to do an update again and downloaded 0.14.1.
I'm using nRFConnect since for some reason I still can't get Gadgetbridge get to work (maybe my Android 8.1 is too old?).

After (successfully) connecting and bonding I select DFU Update and choose the ZIP from my filesystem. Then it says "initializing" and then... nothing...

As far as I can remember I did exactly the same thing when I upgraded from 0.7.x to 0.9.0.

I have no clue, what I'm doing wrong. Do you have any hints?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I have just gone through most of your documentation and I am interested in working with micropython on my PineTime dev kit. However, I seem to be having some difficulty updating the firmware. I currently am using IOS nRF Connect and attempted to update the firmware on my Pinetime. I make a successful connection and upload the micropython.zip the screen shows a firmware update and it says image loaded ok. At this time it resets and reboots. The PineTime logo shows and it looks like it did when I first opened the package. I have just received this PineTime in Jan 2021 It says the version is PineTime 0.7.1 I'm starting to wonder if I have one that still has the flash protection turned on. Looking forward to learning how to develop for this.

Hi there,

I purchased a set with three PineTimes. They're really cool devices. Since I'm a bloody beginner, they actually do nothing more but show the time. I managed to set the time with "nRF Connect" app on an Android phone.

The november update now says "PineTime firmware can now be upgraded via Gadgetbridge!"

Would it be possible, to provide a step by step tutorial for people who are not deep into that? Or is there already one, someone could point me to?

Thanks!!!
