WD NVMe not recognized
#1
At first, I tried to install a Samsung NVME that kept crashing the PBP.  After reading about the power problems, I checked the compatibility chart and exchanged it  for a WD NVMe BLue SN550 1TB drive.  Now the system does not even recognize the drive is there.

Can anyone suggest why this is happening?

According to the specs I just looked at that"s a SATA type drive and shouldn't work at all, only pcie type drives are supported. I don't know why it in the comparability table as working, maybe WD are using confusing part numbers? But that's probably what you should check first.

Thank you!   Yes, this is a SATA drive.  I hope some can edit the compatibility chart so others won't be confused.

I just bought a WD Blue SN550 250GB NVMe drive (product code WDS250G2B0C) and it works fine in my Pinebook Pro.

Maybe different sizes have different interfaces?

Are you sure that is a WD SN550 1TB drive? I thought these were NVME and was looking at that personally as it looks like the best low power option.
