Where are the HW kill switches located?

a slot cut out where the hw dip switches are and a rubber cover would fix the issue ...

that way the back cover doesnt need to constantly be removed and the dip switches can be easily accessed ...

Something like this that are usually covering micro sd slots on devices.

Yes. this is a great idea.
I will definitely grab a 3d printer when someone releases a design for one.
I understand pine not considering it a priority though.
