Warranty on pinephone?
#1
Question
Will the pinephone get a warranty of some kind? It seems the pinebook pro mentions a "30 day" warranty?

I think this is a very fair question. I understand this is a small community, very exited to try the new phone and the philosophy behind it. Freedom from the big ones. Not being tracked and not being used as a number in our society, not being spammed with ads about what you just talk in private, etc. I understand in this excitement no   one should complain because 3 pixels are not working, or because some lose part can be fixed by the new owner. But what about a completely failing phone? If not warranty, it is fine, this is kind an adventure, but it would be nice an answer, so people know what to expect. Even in this case, many of us will buy it anyway

From the store page it looks you have 15 days

From the store page:

Thanks for the explanations! Of course, I guess that any modification/tinkering made by the user voids the warranty? (I'm not criticizing, it's a normal thing to do, just wanted to make sure)

As long as you don't cause damage to it or if he secureboot efuse is not blown then I think you should be fine.
Find me in the forest, when I'm at my lowest. I don't really think you should continue..

HOLD YOUR BREATH.

My Pinephone Ubuntu Edition has arrived broken. The operating system does not start, what can I do to return or replace it?
(I paid 52 euros in taxes, I hope I don't have to pay them again)

Please join the chat and ask for help on there first. It may not be broken. Do you at least see the pine64 logo on boot?

If so read this: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=10130
