MX-Linux; antiX Linux
#1
The  MX-Linux and antiX-Linux distributions are very similar, and have become quite popular. MX-Linux has held the #1 position on Distrowatch for the past 3 months (beating out Linux Mint by a two-to-one margin, no less), and antiX-base is (almost) a full featured version of MX (a truly full-featured distro at 1200 MB--MX 17.3), and about 2/3 the size--approx. 800 MB vs 1200MB / 1400 MB (MX-17.3 / MX-18).

Does any one know if the PineBook group has any plans to engage with MX / antiX? It seems as if this would be a really good move on PineBook's part.

Does any one have any ideas on the difficulty--or lack thereof--of installing MX-Linux 17.3 / 18.1 on the PineBook Pro if it is not a 'supported distribution'?

The best way is ping MX-Linux forum and ask for Pinebook. MX-Linx developers can email to info@pine64.org and we will provide Pinebook for them.

I assume you have not heard from the people at MX-Linux.
Shortly after I received your reply, I sent an email to the MX-Linux group, doing as you suggested.
Unfortunately--I think--I used the "Contact Us" icon on their website, I'm not at all certain that's the proper way to get their attention, as I discovered today when trying to determine the status of my request (for you) to them, I found this information associated with the "Contact Us" icon (in red letters): "This email address is for website problems...".

I am in the process of formally, officially registering as a member of the MX-Linux / antiX Linux Forums and user group(s), and will pursue your suggestion through those channels.

Warmest regards...
