Boot from USB - What's about resizing the partitions?
#1
Hello together

Yesterday my new Rock64 2GB arrived. Very nice piece!
I want to use this for IOT "iobroker"

There are for Rock64 ready made Armbian images.

I configured the Rock64 to boot from USB and create an USB3.0-Memorystick with this bootable iobroker Image.
It boots up, but then it stops. Could it be, that the memory or partitions of the 64GB Stick has to be resized?

When I use an SSD by an SATA to USB3.0 Adapter, I will not boot up at all.

I know this partition resizing of bootable USB-devices from the Raspberry Pi.

How is it at the Rock64?

Does anybody has a manual for this?

Thank you!

I haven't played with a new armbian install in a while but shouldn't it resize on first boot?

Failing that install/use gparted to resize.

I mean, after booting the first time from SD card, you have to resize/expand the filesystem.
How do you do that on a USB-ästick or SSD drive?
Is there a How-to?

It should be the largest one, just expand it by dragging the end of the partition to the end of the drive. Then click on apply.
