Android 9 for Rock64?
#11
Any update?
SDK's can just be downloaded from Rockchip's server for manufacturers according to Rockchip's SDK Android documentation, no need to wait.
To add Android Pie support for Rock64 shouldn't take more than a day or two since both Oreo and Pie uses the same, similar 4.4 kernel.

Android 9 still not yet release by Rockchip for ROCK64 but already release for ROCKPro64. I will follow up on this status again on this week.

Hope it will be released for Rock64.
RK3399 Pie SDK is already released on Gitlab by some manufacturers and that chipset was released long after RK3328.

It's sad that Rock64 is discontinued and doesn't care about Android.

We are still waiting for the Rockchip official release the RK3328 Android 9 SDK. This has been a long wait :-(

Please tell that it will have a regular "tablet UI" as well which will be usable with touchscreen displays. TV UI is absolutely unusable with touchscreens

The received SDK from Rockchip is the Android TV SDK. The upcoming Android 9 for ROCK64 still maintain as Android TV.

So it will remain unusable for everyone who wants to hook up the board to a touchscreen... Could you at least remove the need to double tap on any icon to open the app/setting when using the board with a touchscreen and add optional navigation bar (Home, Back, Recent) so that users can navigate in apps and menus.
