DLP 2000 Pocket Projector with R64
#1
Hello all,

I'm thinking of buying the 99$ Texas Instruments DLP projector for the BeagleBone.
It can be wired up to a raspberry pi as well.

I very much want to know if this can be configured on an Ayufan Ubuntu Bionic image.

These are the instructions to make it work with a Raspberry Pi:

(Also a video tutorial from the same guy):

I guess I should start off by asking what are the main differences when using the GPIO on a Rock64 vs a Raspberry.
Also, where do I find the R64 equivalent of /boot/config.txt and /etc/rc.local from the raspbian OS?
The tutorial says one must modify both of these files on a raspberry. That, and enable I2C.

I'm a noob with SBCs, so all help is welcome.
Thank you for your time.

Ah... another Mick viewer who drooled over the DLP videos! Big Grin Big Grin

Differences... I won't comment on as I'm not sure of the current state of affairs.

Not sure about config.txt... it's equivalent from the pine64 doesn't seem to be around any more. Maybe it's all device-tree overlay stuff now? Which would be a bit annoying as you would get no output until the system is nearly booted. Maybe would have to also fiddle with the /boot/efi/extlinux/extlinux.conf parameters passed to the kernel?

rc.local support is not enabled by default... this will help you get it working if you need it.
