So sure, I'll have the config include libnfs for the next image and hopefully that will meet the need! Smile
Initial config could be the same as SMB or none as it does the same thing.
I'll test it when you add it.

Any chance to add/change user for smb? I want to add own user shares that require credentials but it doesn't work for root user.

With core media support I could test it without listening to "daddy where are my movies" all the time.

Don't get me wrong. I really appreciate your work.
I believe users won't want to use Rock64 only for emulation. With proper media support, it's good solution.

This way I can resign from WiFi hotspot or webserver.

I also consider dual boot but I need to buy mSD card.

The SMB shares can be easily modified in the config file, feel free to tweak however you would like. The same goes for setting up NFS. The file system is not read only so you have the flexibility of updating these yourself via SSH, as well as adding users. You'd obviously want to then configure the necessary file security for those new users.

Thank you all for your testing and feedback so far! And thank you for your patience, we have in our list to get the eMMC working in a future release. Alpha is alpha, right? Wink

@Raere - thanks for testing! Just for everyone's knowledge, if you can provide the details of USB adapters you tried, it would be great! There's a possibility they can be added later, but at least we will have a list of devices that have been tested Smile

8 and 16 bit console work good. Nintendo 64 and Playstation work good too. But PSP and FBA don't start.

FBA works for me - what are you trying to play? If Neo Geo games, then you need (the correct) neogeo.zip BIOS in the same folder as the games, not in the BIOS folder. In general, put Neo Geo games + BIOS in the neogeo roms folder.

Indeed, PSP doesn't work - already got a report earlier today and error:

Oh my...

Now I have to decide if buy a new SD or an Emmc card to test Recalbox... Big Grin

Yes Neo Geo. OK thank you. What BIOS do I need exactly?

Danielsan, a SD card will do fine for now. In the future you'll be able to boot from HDD or old USB stick  - most people have one or the other in a drawer somewhere collecting dust.

Des4grea, the BIOS needs to contain the following:

@Mrfixit2001 The problem is, I have tried to create separate SMB user but didn't work as well as changing password for root user failed.
Shares with forced users or "guest only" worked fine.
Currently I'm back to Ayufan's Debian Jessie but I'm definitely buying mSD for further tests.
I'll try to make it dual boot with priority for eMMC (for everyday's server activities) and Recalbox from mSD "on demand" with minimum media server. Big Grin
...only problem is there is no Xbox One gamepad support.
Next time I flash it I'll test PS4 gamepad over USB and BT but I'd like to use Xbox gamepad as I have it always connected (for GIMX usage) Sad

Finding a gamepad that works with this board was a pain...
Eventually I found this one which has a reasonable price, good manufacturing, and works out-of-the-box on Linux as well as on Android:

On this build the following worked:

BT: 8Bitdo controller

Wired: Xbox 360 and PS3 original controllers, Buffalo retro controller, Fake Xbox 360 controller

These did not work: Fake PS3 controller, no-brand SNES controller.
