Would a module form factor be possible?

The additional cpu performance and 4Gb of ram would be extremely useful in a module form factor.

Is creating a module for this cpu / ram a thought at all?

I can't speak for Pine, but I don't see a reason why it would not work. And honestly, I'd expect they've given it some thought, given that there is of course a module version of the P64.

given pine64 business model to this point probably 6 to 9 months after sales of current rock64 there maybe talk of marketing a ropine development board with ropine modules. Smile
