Looking to use a Rock64 as an automotive android based car PC? didnt see any bluetooth dongles in the store and it would be nice if anyone had any experience with adding a GPS receiver.

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to use any standard linux compatible USB bluetooth dongle with the rock64 - there's nothing special about it that way. Probably just look for one that works well with the raspberry pi, and you should be fine.

And for GPS, as Marcus linked, just use the serial interface unless you need it for something else.

I'm having issues with 2 Bluetooth dongles. Neither seem to work. One is older and I'm unsure of the chipset and the other os brand new and uses the CSR8510 chipset. Both work on the pi, neither seem to work on the official rockchip android build. Anyone have any luck with any bluetooth adapters on the ROCK64?

On which OS ? On android none work at this time, but I had no issues with my BT usb dongle: Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle / CSR8510

I have a really, really old usb bluetooth dongle.

I plugged it in, using Xenial mate.

While I couldn't see devices in Xenial ... I do see at least part of it is working. When I turned bluetooth on, on my android phone, I see a device named rock64. I couldn't connect, because I don't remember the pin ( I tried 1111 and 1234 and 0000).

The fact I see a device called rock 64,on my android tells me it is working .. sure it is just that mine is real old, and/or I haven't played around enough with the settings to get it to work.
