Also, If you want to try, say, a Linux image before writing it to the eMMC, you can use the SD image and then use the /usr/local/sbin/pine64_install_to_emmc.sh script and choose from one of several different OSes to install (6 options at the time of writing this post).

But if this is what you want to do, make sure you pay look not for Pinebook eMMC in step 3, but SD, as the eMMC images automatically install the eMMC, whereas the SD images remain on the SD card, allowing you to use them there or try them out, and run the install script if you later choose to.
