Real-time linux kernel
#21
Good afternoon. To my great regret to the current Linux kernel does not support Pine64 FULL_PREEPT_RT mode ARM64 architecture. But this does not mean that the hard real-time kernel is not. Just need to wait a bit when the new standard linux kernel is developed. I express my gratitude to all those cat I participated in this attempt

Thanks on your trying. The 64 bit ARM still very news and takes a while to catch up. Once FULL_PREEPT support on ARM64, looking forward on you to continue the Real Time kernel porting.

Tell me, where in the mainline linux kernel appear Pine64 support? In which version?

Hi Uli. Seems I find solution, why FULL_PREEPT_RT didn't work.
Read this (https://patches.linaro.org/patch/47646/), and tell me what you think?

@Artyom
I was able to apply the this patch by hand and will now compile / test the new kernel.
This patch will add HAVE_PREEMPT_LAZY, but not FULL_PREEPT_RT itself.

I, too, have already applied this patch manually. I know that he will not unblock FULL_PREEPT_RT mode. Because this kernel does not support this mode for ARM64 architecture.

As I wrote earlier for TL Lit we need to wait for the new kernel in which the FULL_PREEPT_RT mode will be maintained for ARM64.

@Artyom: The BSP kernel has been updated to 3.10.101, may be this will change the situation a little bit.

OK Uli. I try to find info about how this kernel support FULL_PREEPT_RT mode

@umiddelb. Hi again. Аs I said earlier we need new kernel. As far as I understand we need kernel version 3.18.11. Additionally, you can read here:
