Pine A64 + OpenHAB + Sonoff-pow: Would it Work?

Pine has the Linux version of OpenHAB 2.0 functioning now. 

Would it work to control these device controls?  They are which are $10.50 per outlet and connect by wifi.

I recently bought a couple sonoff devices and I am hoping to try it out this weekend.  From what I've seen for youtube on openHab it should work when adding as a thing in openhab.

Chadilac, I'll be anxiously waiting on your results (and anyone else's that wants to give it a try and report back here).

Inside the Sonoff is an ESP8266. In particular I am interested in if you end up having to reprogram the flash memory in the ESP8266 to get it up and running like this guy did:

It is a great example. His hardware is based around the Sonoff, Openhab and an Arduino. His code is there as are the steps to reprogram the flash memory.

The cool thing is that the ESP8266 can be set up to work remotely over wifi with no control board (Arduino, pine, raspberry,...). And they are very inexpensive and readily available. They can be set up to control relays, as temperature sensors,... I could see them working well with Openhab on a Pine.

I have actually gotten the Sonoff Basic working with OpenHAB on a Pine64. I had to work through the entire process multiple times, but finally figured at all the bits and bobs to get it to work.

The problem I had was there was not any one location with all the information in one place.

I have documented the process and I will soon be putting a series of post on my blog and videos. My goal is to explain each piece as I go. OpenHAB is great, but it is capable of so much that ,if you are just starting into DIY home automation, it makes it hard to get started with it.

Until I get my content up, I will attempt to answer any questions I can here.
