Kodi on Linux?
#1
Hello,
The last time I was trying to install Kodi on linux I had trubble with it and I understood that the Mali-Driver is the issue.
My question is if the Mali-Driver is up and running? and I can install Kodi.

Thx and sorry for my bad English.

I haven't tried it on Pine myself - however DietPI has an option to install Kodi - so I'd assume it works?

Me?  I don't use Kodi or XBMC or anything like that...

What have you got to lose but an SD Card to give it a try?

I would avoid Linux (any flavour) like the plague at the moment if you want Kodi support. Whilst DietPi does indeed have a Kodi option (as does the Pine64.Pro Debian Mate distro), the guys at DietPi are still having trouble with with it on their Distro (extremely low frame rates), and on the Pine64.Pro image, Lenny had to run it in windowed mode (instead of full screen) to get any sort of 'usable' performance out of it.

Full graphics HW acceleration is only present on Android at the moment, so if you want that, stick with Android! Big Grin
