Still No Calls or SMS
#1
Sorry, but I have no idea how to fix this.

If some kind person could guide me through it....?

Here is the result from journalctl when trying to place a call:
Code:
$ sudo journalctl --follow

I don't know what to do about these errors:
Code:

Code:

I have googled all of them endlessly but I still have no idea how to fix then. I have updated geoclue2 to make sure that the polkit rules are up to date (I hope)

If I check the modem state I can see the Operator id and name:
Code:

I have continued to fiddle with this, with some success. For a start SMS now seems to work, but not MMS yet  Sad

Code:
gnome-calls[4149]: Unexpected error response to netlink request while trying to fetch local IP address

Apparently this may be due to a failure to obtain both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses - there is an open issue here.

Code:
gsd-media-keys[4005]: Unable to get default sink/source

This may be/have been a pipewire problem. Again an open issue can be found here.

The slightly better news is that after a mammoth update today, including a pipewire update, I have at last made a call which at least went through. There was some sound, but I will still have to test whether two way calling really works again.

There does not seem to be much activity here so I thought to continue this thread instead of starting a new one.

Some issues have been resolved by updates so today I have tried again to solve the calls problem. I placed a call to the Pinephone and it rang, I answered on the Pinephone but there was no audio. The errors in the journals are:

Code:
wys[3654]: wys_audio_ensure_loopback: assertion 'self->modem' failed
wys[3654]: wys_audio_ensure_loopback: assertion 'self->modem' failed

wys[3654]: wys_audio_ensure_no_loopback: assertion 'self->modem' failed

callaudiod[3785]: card has no usable sink
callaudiod[3785]: card has no usable source
callaudiod[3785]: card has no usable sink

Here is the complete journal of the call:

Code:

Question: Why do I have both wys and callaudiod running. It seem that they are both supposed to do the same thing, and according to this issue wys does not seem to work with pipewire?
