Does pinephone allow you to repair your own device as easily as fairphone?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if the pinephone allows you to repair your own phone as easily as fairphone?

https://www.fairphone.com/en/

Does pinephone have like this modular approach where if for example your camera is broken you can easily replace the camera with a replacement part yourself without needing a technician?

i think it is yes and no. pinephone is quite easy to open and it doesn't use weird screw. but it's not that modular, some components are replaceable, but mainboard practically have to be replaced as one.

https://pine64.com/product-category/pine...are-parts/ . camera modules seems to be available, but shipping fees might be annoying. pinephone regular and pp pro components are not compatible to each other.

I see mate, thanks mate Smile

But one thing, would pinephone consider making it as modular as fairphone in the next update, can I request for this?
