Has this forum resulted in changes to new pinephonero?

Thousands of thoughts, observations, and insights have been posted in this PinePhone Pro forum.  Have these reverberated back to Pine64?  Is the PPP you got in January the identical PPP you receive now on a new order?  I am questioning whether any software or hardware updates have been made to the basic phone.  The ad pages for PinePhone do not seem, from a superficial review, to have changed at all.

these forums do help, member os Pine64 and developers frequent them often to keep a pulse on things. The hardware won't go through many changes, but you will see software/firmware changes initiated through here

So, would a PPP I bought now have different hardware than one that was purchased in Jan.?

What software has changed a lot: that which comes installed in the phone memory?  Please provide details.

I am unfamiliar with the term eg25-g.  Is eg25-g essentially the bios/cmos firmware of the phone? What are the versions of eg25-g that are available and for what reason do they exist?

i don't remember when explorer edition was introduced, but if you have developer edition, then you have some differences. although i don't know how much because wiki is little bit lacking. https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_P..._revisions . for pp reg https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone#H..._revisions . hardware changes are usually small.

not going on small details but this gives some kind of idea https://images.mobian-project.org/pinephonepro/weekly/ , it's for pp pro. generally speaking packages get updated all a time. other operating systems go similar way. maybe this also gives some idea what's going on https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manjaro-arm-...pro/104120 .

eg25-g is a modem chip inside of pinephone (pro). which basically includes mini system, can operate independently from the pinephone's operating system. for official stock firmware https://github.com/Biktorgj/quectel_eg25_recovery . for partially free firmware https://github.com/Biktorgj/pinephone_modem_sdk .
