Can the Pine64 act as a bluetooth receiver?
#1
I have the pine64+ 2GB with stock BT/WiFi module.

I have played with the android and ubuntu images.

I want to build a media player.  Android seems to be the best platform for this due to better graphics performance.

I got the plex server working fine in ubuntu and I was impressed!

I would like to know whether it would be able to set up the device to act as bluetooth receiver, thus stream music from my phone via BT?

Thanks

Not sure about the BT, but I have set up my Pine to be able to recieve AirPlay/Miracast. So I am streaming both music and video to my Pine.
I am also able to mirror the screen of my tablet on to the Pine.

All thanks to this app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...irplaydmr2 )

Thanks, I installed the "lite" version of the app and was able to stream audio just fine from iPhone.

Much appreciated!

I assume you need this app installed on all devices you want to connect, right? So would need on the phone and the Pine? Definitely going to check this out.

Hi montero,

You install this app on the pine64 and then the iphone just uses the built-in "airplay" functionality. No need to install anything on the iphone.

And if it's an Android phone, do you need the app, or is there something that is built-in for that as well?

(guessing if you're using the iPhone, you might not know, but hoping someone else might)

Hi,

I am looking to use my Pine as a music receiver from my iPhone.

Is there an audio out on the Pine or will
I need a HDMI to Audio adapter? I want to just plug the Pine into my HiFi.

Thanks!

Hi.

I have sorted this and it working great as a WiFi music receiver. I have Two question:
• Has anyone used the DAC Stereo audio Pot? I am wondering if it works on Android 7.1?
• is there a way of increasing the output volume From the 3.5m output? There does not seem to be a way of boosting this in settings and my volume is set up full.
