Hot Spot on Mobian/Bookworm ?
#1
I'm running Mobian/Bookworm from sd card on my PMOS Convergent phone.

The data works ok,  but the hot spot seems to have disappeared ?

This can be blocked by the carrier,    But it was working.

*  I am wondering if it is a problem with the operating system ?

I have one phone on AT&T PrePaid, and several phones on PureTalk,  no hot spot on ether.

Yesterday I spent 2+ hours talking with an AT&T rep. on the phone,  they did some  "system resets on their end"   and now both my data and hot spot issues
have been resolved on my Daily Driver Pine phone.

So those  'issues'  were not   'Mobian issues'.

I also spent some time on the phone talking with a rep. at Pure Talk,  it seems you must simply  "Request"  the 'Hot Spot' ability to be "Turned-On"...
... so now all my phones can be used as hot spots.

Strange,  as when I first signed up for Pure Talk service early this year for my test phones,  the hot spot was working then..

Though I never had any problem receiving on phone cellular data using Pure Talk.
