The PineCube original design is using iMX179. Due to lacking mainline MiPi-CSI driver, PineCube needs to redesign to use OV5640 that driver already available from PinePhone implementation. This cause PineCube delay for more than a year.
If there is mainline MiPi-CSI driver, PineCube already introduced last year and using iMX179 camera sensor.
[note: Bootlin just recently implement MiPI-CSI but the decision switch to OV5640 has been made]
