Pinebook 14" smashed screen.

I went to turn on my Pinebook today and found the screen had been damaged.
Is it worth replacing? How easy is it to install a new screen assembly? I know they are for sale in the store.

Has anyone ever successfully fitted a new screen assembly?

Unscrew !0 screws on back cover, take about less than 3 minutes

Open back cover

Unscrew 3 screws at each side of LCD hinge, takes about less than 3 minutes

Replace new LCD panel, and reverse the above process.

Is it a plug that detaches the lcd from the lower laptop body?
Or is there soldering involved?

I appreciate your assistance.
Now I just have to wait for an LCD to become available in the store.
