September release

The recent images for sfos seem to have very stable wifi. I haven't tried a sim card yet, fingers crossed. MTP no longer works. Sailfish connect doesn't work either. Or the camera, but it now features colour bars so something is happening.

I have been really excited about Sailfish and want to do a video on it soon (hoping to spread how beautiful it is- so much potential for pinephone).

I am noticing some movements at gitlab (1 day ago) and have been paying close attention.

Looks like some potential help is waiting on Pinephones (due to problems in Russia shipping)

Are you saying there was a new Sept release? If so, where can I find it? Thanks!

One on the 1sept then another a few days later. Use the flash-it.sh script from here: https://github.com/sailfish-on-dontbeevil/flash-it

there has been a change very recently to the flash-it, but I haven't tried it yet. I can confirm that wifi is now very steady.

Yepp, no simcard was detected. Results in a phone which is not able to make and receive phone calls. And also no mobile data. And no MMS/SMS

Proof of concept, but without any chance for a serious or any other regular use.

Has anyone gone ahead and made a flashable image of SFOS for PP? I'm on Mac without access to a day to day Linux rig and an image would just make life so much easier.

Make lipstick wait until ofono is ready by piggz · Pull Request #50 · sailfish-on-dontbeevil/droid-config-pinephone
This is a bit hacky but read on.
Currently, ofono assumes the sim slot / imei is known immediately.  With
the pinephone, ofono and gobi plugin, the imei is signalled after
startup.  If lipstick is ...
