What does the ribbon cable do on the top right of board by the aux?
#1
Hey, can anyone tell me what the ribbon cable on the top of the device by the headphone jack is for? I did the hardware mod of removing the 2 switches, to get video out, then ended up accidentally breaking the clip for a ribbon cable at the top right of the device by the aux port. I think it might control the LCD screen? I tried to fix it, although it still isn't working. I'm almost 100% sure that I got the pins in contact, so does it actually control the LCD or did I mess up somewhere else? Thanks for any help! edit: Just to clarify, when it boots the LCD screen seems to get power because you can see the backlight, but it doesn't display anything.

From your description, should be touch panel flex cable. Please noted that LCD and Touch are two panel glue fussed together and each has its own cable. The LCD connector locates at the left of SIM slot.
