I'm still figuring out the NVMe interface (thank you for that link, btw), but in my searches I'm only finding drives matching the required specs that are 80mm. Is this the standard for NVMe PCIe?
If we can find them, using shorter drives would certainly help avoid the trackpad interference. I'm not having any issues, while typing this, and the incorrect drive is still inside. Has anyone found any that are 60 or 42mm?

@wizard mentioned a few months back he had a 42mm PCIe SSD that worked, he said he was able to boot from it.
Perhaps you could pull-up his post ...
I remember him posting that. I have a 42mm KingSpec that's arriving Tuesday. If it doesn't work, I'm going to start looking exclusively at those that have been confirmed working by multiple parties, instead of trying to contribute to finding new, working models.
