Here over the last couple of years I have had the issue where the Pine64 running Ubuntu 64bit would not boot.
I removed the 32 Gb SD card and used an SD to USB device and would check and repair the SD card with GParted.
Worked fine afterwards. Note that this appeared to be some sort of issue with the OS rather than the SD card.
The issue of not rebooting did crop up and over time with updating the issue has gone away.
Last week updated the build to Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit via command line with no issues. Boots and reboots just fine now.

The Pine 64 here is utilized as an automation server and is up 24 / 7.
