U-boot upgrading on Pine64 checked out from public tech library

This is exciting to have the boot sequence custom-clarified for me.  I'm sure I'll need more info for troubleshooting when I get around to changing over to my next bootup upgrade.

Now back to real life: I am in the midst of fighting with getting OpenHAB to acquire a DHCP address from my laptop.  Other images get address just fine.  What is different about OpenHAB's image?  (Rhetorical question, nothing officially being asked...)
