Quite how this happens, I don't know, but it'll be some kind on computer generated SMS, like for bank logins etc. When I look at the chat details, against 'Phone Number:', I just see a name rather than a phone number. I don't think it's an MMS as it's just a bit of plain text, and chatty does normally handle them - it was just this one occasion.
What I ended up doing, was deleting the chat in chatty, and the next one came through. It does sound like a chatty bug. If chatty had a problem with this particular one, would that account for the message being stuck with a status of 'receiving'?

It may? but in either case SMS is being refactored soon, and I don't htink that'd happen in a newer one.
It could be a strange one off error too.
