Thank you very much for the video! Hardware seems very nice indeed. Please do post more videos Smile

Also would like to hear more about a keyboard case and of course more videos are also welcome. Smile

The phone looks promising and if a suitable keyboard would appear, it could make this device into a perfect Linux phone.
I hope it to be available - the sooner the better. Smile

It looks like the OS in the above video is KDE Plasma Mobile.

He is running PostmarketOS which in turn is running Plasma Mobile.

I have some questions about the hardware switches. I have found contradicting information in different forums (e.g. Reddit). Some people said the hardware kill switches will not cut off the power to the modules (i.e. you cannot save battery even if you set them to off, they just continue to leech battery in the background), while some say yes.

So if I turn off the some of the switches can I save battery or not?

And I cannot see the second label of the kill switches clearly in the video but I guess that one is WIFI something?

1.Modem
2.W??????
3.Microphone
4.Rear camera
5.Front Camera
6.Headphone

In the pinephone device page it listed:
HW switches: LTE/GNSS, WiFi, Microphone, Speaker, Cameras

But I remeber in one post it mentioned the Wifi kill switch shares with GNSS, or does Modem switch share with the GNSS kill switch?

I wish I can get my hands on the braveheart phone soon then I can test them myself.

The wiki page includes a link to the schematic where you can check exactly what they do - SW1-A through SW1-F for switches 1 through 6. For the modem it operates a transistor that controls the power between battery and modem module. The WiFi and camera ones switch their respective enable and power pins - you'd have to check their datasheets to find out how much/little power they consume in their on and off states. The mic and headphone ones don't have power saving implications.
