Recommended way to use TVHeadend client?
#1
Hi,

I just received 2 Rock64 boards, hoping to use them as tvheadend clients. Needless to say - I am disappointed with results so far, I've tried LibreElec latest build (video crashes regularry), Android 7.1+ Kodi (very slow)... Huh

Is there a proven way to use the Rock64 board as stable HD stream receiver (4K would be nice, but even HD is currently problematic)?

Hello,

i'm using Rock64 with the LibreELEC build from 03.06.2018 and it works with 1080p play for me - if Hardware acceration is disabled - if its activated i get a blackscreen if i stop video play.

Some of the Builds works just fine, and others just doint....

Did you tried RECALBOX they also have KODI installed.

I use TVHeadend Client. I don't get crashes.
Be careful if using SD Cards.
They are not all equal in in sequential read write speeds.
I have Android TV internally installed eMMC and Libreelec on SD Card

Hi

Thanks for answer, just I have already tried LibreELEC-RK3328.arm-9.0-devel-20180606204626-0267cea-rock64 and I could not find any  PVR clients included... where did you find THVeadent client there?

EDIT:

I've found solution - first installed nightly (with repo for TVHeadend Client available), then this version as update. Testing now, not crashing yet Smile

Yes, and TVHeadend client is broken there. But the solution above seems to work.
