Flakey WIFI (problems authenticating, etc.)
#1
I'm running the latest release on eMMC and having repeated problems with WIFI that go beyond the suspend/resume applet stuff.
Conecting/authenticating to my home network (WPA2) is hit or miss with Pinebook, despite being int he same room as the access point. I'm having to repeatedly restart the network manager, etc. It seems to me like teh authentication process is maybe timing out, even though the signal is strong and credentials are correct.
Are others encountering similar issues? If so, what solutions or work-arounds have you employed?

This is getting pretty frustrating. It's hit or miss whether I'm going to be able to connect to what is a quite robust home network when I boot up the PB.

Sometime there's no connection. Sometimes there are multiple attempts to connect... with multiple dialogu
es asking me to type a password.

Of note, when I go to look at/edit past connections I see a weird numbered list. The SSID is just 'NETGEAR30'. The list of past connections is something like 'NETGEAR30 4, NETGEAR30 5, NETGEAR30 6'. Each showing that it was never connected to.

I have seen this reported but I have not experienced it myself (11'' Pinebook), despite connecting to a number of different access points. Perhaps this is trivial, but have you tried changing the wifi channel ?
You can find me on IRC, Discord and Twitter

I'll give that a shot, at least as an experiment.

I've had some luck connecting via 'nmcli', no joy at all since last night when it comes to the network manager/aplet... so the plot thickens.

Same problem detected here, sometimes it refuses to authenticate, sometime it works flawlessly...

How did you manage the problem?

I'm having similar issues with wifi. When I initiate the connection the signal is strong. After the connection is made the signal drops by half, but it works fine for a few minutes, after which it becomes practically useless. Disconnecting and reconnecting starts the process over again.
