emmc formatted by mistake (it no longer appears)
#1
During a Mobian installation test, I mistakenly formatted the EMMC with gparted.
Now with jumpdrive the emmc no longer appears.
With tow-boot, communication with my PC no longer works (the light turns blue when I press the level up button, but then the light flashes and the pinephone turns off.

On the other hand, if I flash a mobian image on the sd-card, I can still boot on it… but no more emmc :/

In a terminal, I ran the lsblk command and I get this:
Code:
mmcblk2
179:256        0   29G   0   disk
mmcblk2boot0
179:512        0   4M    1   disk
mmcblk2boot1
179:768        0   4M    1   disk

How can I retrieve the emmc?
Can anyone help me ? I'm not a computer scientist.

can't you partition and format it again with gparted (or parted) from the sd card?

The battery was fully charged...

What exactly happened:
  • in gparted, I erased the partitions of the emmc
  • gparted gave me a message that the system could not take the change into account before a reboot (i.e. the emmc partitions still appeared in Dolphin even though they no longer existed).
  • I then disconnected and reconnected the usb cable of the pinephone
…and then, no more emmc.
Since then, it has not been possible to access it.

Oops, I hadn't realized that we could access the emmc from the sd card… thanks Smile
So I flashed mobian to the sd card, then flashed mobian to the emmc from the sd card…and it worked!

Everything is in order. Thanks a lot for the help!
