How about the Debian Software Store  ?
or would that result in some incompatible software downloads  ?

Well, you have Synaptic in the default build ... I guess that we could consider getting the Ubuntu Mate store front-end for it? I'll talk to @Mrfixit2001

RE: Default OS update log - Luke - 11-21-2019

@tophneal I don't. Once @Mrfixit2001 pushes the release I'll ask him to edit in details

The kernel side:

/opt/linux-mrfixit$ git log

Author: mrfixit3000 <mrfixit2001@gmail.com>

    mrfixit epic update
rebase kernel against latest rockchip bps commit
    update to 4.4.202
    enable virtualization for issue #4
    enable megaraid for issue #3
complete leakage settings for cpu overclocks
add edp panel timing for boe nv140fhmn49 in pinebook pro
a bunch of wifi drivers added/fixed/updated
add and enable a bunch of pcmcia drivers
    additional mainline backports
    additional pcie drivers and patches
    fixes for some dvb drivers

This commit is a little bit too epic:
 git diff HEAD^ | wc

Why not 1 change = 1 commit so we can track changes.

@Der Geist der Maschine This is probably what you're after? https://github.com/mrfixit2001/rockchip-kernel/commit/d976ba2d9f3580241330b9a9e7e1f04cee52d91a

RE: Default OS update log - Der Geist der Maschine - 11-22-2019

From the forthcoming update:

# Disable wifi power management
mv $DIR/rc.local /etc
chmod +x /etc/rc.local

It's not nice overwriting other people's rc.local Tongue

RE: Default OS update log - Luke - 11-23-2019

just updated mine with MrFixit's script.
There was an error message part-way about a missing directory but it didn't stay on screen long enough to note down and, of course, the script closes the terminal window on completion.
Firefox now seems to be working for me.
No apparent problems
