Here's what I see: https://imgur.com/3VoEyI5

ping Strit in the chats or ask in the manjaro forum.
[edit] looks like other users have also experienced this, but only occasionally.

I have been chatting to Strit & Dodge in the Manjaro forum and currently Strit was laughing as he is checking for 5.3 release several times a day.
They have a number of Arm Socs wanting Lima and when 5.3-Rc1 is out it will prob be a matter of hours.

But they are really great, open for chat devs and you should get on the Manjaro forums as they would prob appreciate any feedback.

If haven't worked out if the merge window finished and its likely to day or the merge window finishes and its Monday.
Lima is lagging behind Panfrost slightly and prob might be in same situation where Mesa 19.2.0-devel works much better, but that might be just Panfrost as think much is Alyssia and her work with Panfrost/Wayland/Gnome.

Agreed, the Manjaro devs are a great.

RE: Manjaro ARM for Pinebook - fitter - 08-29-2019

Probably worth to mention - Manjaro got updated to 19.08
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manjaro-arm-19-08-released/99031

It supports Pinebook, and also have an EMMC installation images which contains nice installation script.

The only problem is that I tried to install both XFCE and i3 EMMC versions, and I'm getting "No space left on device" errors during XZ img extraction.
I tried that on two different microSD cards, 16 and 32GB, flashed by Etcher. No difference
1080p Pinebook

Does anyone else tested these images?

You should let Strit know about this in the 19.08 announcement thread. Doesn't look like anyone's reported these issues there.

RE: Manjaro ARM for Pinebook - halbth - 09-03-2019

Perhaps, I'm completely outdated in the current devs but i've tried to play FHD video on manjaro with:

Code:
mvp -vo drm video.avi

And it works great!

Video starts in fullscreen and run smoothly. Big Grin

I didn't check with a lot of file but for me it is a great improvement !

Yep, I just wanted to ask community if someone had similar issue before bothering devs.

I wrote Strit, he updated the images, the installation goes now fine (I tested it with XFCE image).

Can you explain in more details please?

You mean by using mpv?

How does HW acceleration work exactly on the Pinebook?

I know how to setup Arch Linux with HW acceleration for Intel graphics, but I have no idea how it works for the Pinebook. There supposedly is a connection with the kernel version? But what driver?

A setup guide for the Pinebook would be really nice. It would be great if it would be possible to run Gnome on the Pinebook and have decent YouTube playback (and if only with a plugin forwarding video playback to mpv).

And what about (ungoogled-) Chromium, which can be complied with HW acceleration (in contrast to Firefox, which still doesn't support it)?

He probably mentioned new released Manjaro 19.10 https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manjaro-arm-19-10-released/107677
Allwinner A64 is getting mainline HW video decoding features thanks to the project Cedrus. I will test it when I find some time
