Might be naive of me, but I feel that macOS still relies heavily on GPU acceleration, which the Pinebook would struggle with Sad

Unless they start from square one again and start building up drivers upon their own launches, it could be a possibility.

Hm… an ARM-based Hackintosh sounds like an interesting proposition. In the meantime, while we wait for the PineBook Pro, I had to replace my ageing home laptop (Dell Vostro 3500, about 10 years old) with a slightly less aged ex-company laptop (Dell Latitude 7450, less than 5 years old), which was quite a bargain at €225 plus the old laptop. I might make a Hackintosh out of that one…

But I still want a PineBook Pro when it's out! Smile

E7450? Looks like you can mate! https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/8514-dell-latitude-e7450-clover-uefi-only/

It still relies on the macOS ARM move being true, which is currently unconfirmed.

I read first posts and Moderator was talking about March.
Thanks for the 128GB update BTW!
Is there an ETA?

RE: Pinebook Pro? - GoGoBling - 03-12-2019

Is there a mailing list that we can preorder from? I'm willing to put down some cash now. I was an early pine64 backer and still use it.

My understanding is that there isn't a list where you can pre-order.  I asked if there a notification list that will let me know
when the BTO is open, and was advised to subscribe to their newsletter:

Same hardware and resolution as the Pinebook Pro (the RockPro64). Figured that some of you may be interested in what sort of performance / features you can expect from the Pinebook Pro...

Also, recorded late at night as a quick demo, so sorry for the crap quality.

Looking pretty sweet! You need one of those passthrough HDMI recorders =)

I will order the Pinebook Pro asap! Will the NVME drive be a bootable drive out of the box?
