Might be naive of me, but I feel that macOS still relies heavily on GPU acceleration, which the Pinebook would struggle with

Hm… an ARM-based Hackintosh sounds like an interesting proposition. In the meantime, while we wait for the PineBook Pro, I had to replace my ageing home laptop (Dell Vostro 3500, about 10 years old) with a slightly less aged ex-company laptop (Dell Latitude 7450, less than 5 years old), which was quite a bargain at €225 plus the old laptop. I might make a Hackintosh out of that one…
But I still want a PineBook Pro when it's out!

It still relies on the macOS ARM move being true, which is currently unconfirmed.

My understanding is that there isn't a list where you can pre-order. I asked if there a notification list that will let me know
when the BTO is open, and was advised to subscribe to their newsletter:

Same hardware and resolution as the Pinebook Pro (the RockPro64). Figured that some of you may be interested in what sort of performance / features you can expect from the Pinebook Pro...
