(if you want to cross-compile u-boot, just change the arch= field in the MAKEPKG or just download my .pkg from the releases, that you only need to extract)

Do not have many hopes with Arch Linux mainline, though, the patches for video acceleration are not included in the mainline Linux kernel yet.

If you want a bit of honest opinion here: If you really have never heard of what a Mali GPU is, I would strongly recommend that you first look up the hardware of the RockPro64 and browse around in the forum a bit. Im sure you'll also find the threads relating to your other questions.
