If you can rule out OS issues you'll narrow it down to hardware issues. Just a thought. How are you powering the SSD. You may not have enough capacity on your power supply if you are powering it from the board. Any dip in power usually leads to undercurrent voltage and will throw errors typically on storage devices RE: Armbian for Rock64 - gedas07 - 01-23-2022 (01-22-2022, 08:43 AM)Rocklobster Wrote:Hello, if the ssd has an external source, to be powered, so it is not the problem, what I said with ubuntu 18 was a year and it works perfect.(01-21-2022, 12:27 PM)gedas07 Wrote:(01-20-2022, 08:12 PM)Rocklobster Wrote:Thanks for your answer(01-18-2022, 12:57 PM)gedas07 Wrote: hello I have installed rock64 armbian debian bullseye, on the emmc card and I have an ssd disk by usb3, the disk is mounted in /etc/fstab, but every day approx it gives me an error Switch to debian to stay up to date, What image of buster do you recommend to try? thanks RE: Armbian for Rock64 - Rocklobster - 01-24-2022 (01-23-2022, 06:20 AM)gedas07 Wrote:(01-22-2022, 08:43 AM)Rocklobster Wrote:Hello, if the ssd has an external source, to be powered, so it is not the problem, what I said with ubuntu 18 was a year and it works perfect.(01-21-2022, 12:27 PM)gedas07 Wrote:(01-20-2022, 08:12 PM)Rocklobster Wrote:Thanks for your answer(01-18-2022, 12:57 PM)gedas07 Wrote: hello I have installed rock64 armbian debian bullseye, on the emmc card and I have an ssd disk by usb3, the disk is mounted in /etc/fstab, but every day approx it gives me an error Try Armbian Focal if you need a desktop. Try Armbian Buster if server is all you need. You can download both from here https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/ROCK64_Software_Release#Armbian_Debian_Buster_for_Server_and_Light_Desktop_.5BmicroSD_.2F_eMMC_Boot.5D RE: Armbian for Rock64 - gedas07 - 01-29-2022 Thanks a lot. RE: Armbian for Rock64 - va88 - 02-08-2022 Hello, is Armbian currently the best/more stable linux server image for Rock64? Probably the most widely used and in my case very stable. RE: Armbian for Rock64 - gedas07 - 02-28-2022 finally install armbian buster, and install my rock64, the lxde desktop, when I'm in desktop mode I have black lines that flash horizontally on the screen every x seconds. Is there something to install and that does not come out? Sorry to hear that. Have you installed latest? There is a release just today happening. I don't know if anything specific has been addressed there (but you could check the release announcement). Either wait a day or so and download new image, or you can build now yourself if you don't want to wait. Let us know how it goes. Maybe make a post on Armbian forum if problems persist, likely much better chance of being seen there. Where I can find the image ? and Is it possible to install it without losing anything already installed? You can still manually go to https://www.armbian.com/rock64/ however, but here we must note a few very important things:
At this point I am wondering which image Rocklobster is using? Did you build? Because I see a lot of red flags here. Are you sure Rocklobster you are referring to Rock64 (and not ROCKPro64)? I just want to be sure. (03-01-2022, 03:59 PM)gedas07 Wrote: Is it possible to install it without losing anything already installed? Generally speaking, this is not supported. However there are some people on the forums telling how to do this. You would be on your own however. But there seem to be much bigger problems here, proceed with caution! I knew this sounded vaguely familiar. I see gedas07 that you found your way to make this post. I would advise to keep looking around the forums there and see if anyone found a solution. Otherwise we are into development and bug fixing here. |
